The mission's primary payload, the second NASA Tracking and Data Relay Satellite (TDRS-3) was successfully deployed. Secondary payloads included a wide range of experiments. One problem encountered on the mission occurred when the orbiter cabin Flight Evaporator System iced up, raising the crew cabin temperature to the mid-80s.!
